So even if you are a bit of a baking novice I bet I can guess the first thing you made as a child (probably even one of the only cakes you made as a child). Yes that’s right rice crispy cakes. These chocolate covered delights were the most simple yet completely delicious cakes to make and involved basically no baking what so ever. With Easter weekend this weekend I knew I had to share these equally easy and delicious refined sugar free version.
You didn’t think I would let Mothers Day go by without a recipe to share with you did you? Of course I wouldn’t! If you really want to show your amazing mum how special she is then you should definitely whip up a batch of these deliciously raw salted caramel pecan brownies.
Happy Pi Day!! As a maths teacher and food blogger it’s practically mandatory for me to share a pie with you on Pi day! I have cheated slightly though and gone with a tart rather than a traditional pie. Trust me though this is one of the best tarts ever which means you will totally forgive me for having a tart steal the spotlight on Pi day.
Can we all agree that Ice Cream is just about one of the best inventions in the world? It really is one of the best treats known to man kind. There are occasionally moments in life where we simply have to blow our own trumpets and this is one of them; because this skillet cookie is literally an absolute dream! One of my absolute favourite sweet breakfasts is a breakfast crumble! It feels like such a treat for breakfast but essentially it is a delicious way of serving oats and fruit meaning it’s still pretty healthy. I usually make them on a Sunday morning with plenty of greek yogurt and a giant pot of tea in bed. This is one of my favourite versions and the one I probably make the most often. This is my Banana & Blueberry Breakfast Crumble.
The countdown is on! We are in the final few days before Christmas and I am full of Christmas spirit. The house is decorated; the presents are wrapped; and the Christmas gatherings are in full swing! The only thing currently missing in my house is mince pies!
So I’ve decided all wreaths should be edible! Don’t get me wrong I know my house would look no where near as decorative without all the sparkly or rustic wreaths we have in our house but if the alternative is something that tastes as good as this then I would definitely get over it. This Cardamom, Cinnamon & Raspberry Spelt Wreath is one of the most delicious and nicest smelling wreathes you will ever have in your house!
