I have a question for some of you? Have you ever tried eating vegan? When was the last time you even had a main meal which was totally vegan? I must admit, had you asked me this question a year ago I probably could not have told you. I literally eat meat or animal products with just about every meal, however now and again it is good to give your body and digestive system a bit of a break. Don’t get me wrong I am still a fairly firm carnivore most days, but now and again it’s good to have a day off (or even just a meal off!). So if you’re looking for a new meal to try on a meatless Monday (or looking for a good place to start) then this is a delicious recipe to try. This is my Paprika Three Bean Stew.
Pancake day is fast approaching and a sweet pancake is my absolute favourite, however I have been seriously neglecting the savoury pancakes, until now! If you’re looking for a savoury option for pancake day and are a fan on Indian food then these Buckwheat Crepes (with Chickpea & Lentil Dahl filling) are definitely for you.
I love Indian food! But the takeaway version is definitely not our friends! This is a perfect healthier version of a classic Indian dish which is perfect for a week night ‘takeaway’. You can also add protein easily for a non-veggie version. This is a Chickpea & Lentil Dahl.
Is there anything more homely and comforting then a good old fashioned Bolognese? With all these long, grey day’s we are currently making our way through this January I thought this would be the perfect time to share with you my own version of a classic Bolognese (with a healthy twist of course!)
Hands up who’s started 2017 with the intention to try and eat a little healthier? After our first week or so back in work I must say our trusty fridge is much fuller than usual, with healthy salads and last nights healthy left overs. I love seeing people eating delicious, nutritious healthier foods but I understand how much effort sometimes needs to go into maintaining a healthy food lifestyle. This is why I wanted to share with you my healthy and warming Tomato, Basil & Red Pepper Soup.
You need this recipe in your life! It is completely delicious. I mean what is there not to love about slightly crispy sweet potato skins packed full of chicken and veggies topped with melted cheese?

Winter is definitely on the way! I love so many things about the weather getting colder. I love big jumpers, woolly scarfs, crisp days and roaring fires. There is nothing quite like a night in, cwtched under a blanket when it’s dark, cold and wintery outside. Those cold days and nights call for one warming food in particular and that is a giant bowl of soup.

I think it’s about time that I confess one of my biggest food secrets. Here it goes:- “I was once a fussy eater”. A few years ago I would be your worst nightmare of a houseguest! Seriously over the years I’m not sure how some people have put up with me. One of my lowest food points was when I was at a sleepover at 8 years old. For my friends birthday she had about 7 girls from my class around to stay the night. It was all going so well… until breakfast. This is where it all went wrong. Now before I go into the details of the breakfast disaster please let me remind you I was 8 years old and correct dinner etiquette was not on my radar. Obviously if this happened now I would never behave like this, but I feel it’s important I tell you this story for you to understand just how bad I was at one point.

This is a very tasty twist on a classic British dish! I must admit I have never been a huge fish lover; it’s been on my ‘learn to like’ list for years but I’ve never quite managed it. I’ve tried curries, marinades, fishcakes and just about any twist on a fish dish I can manage to learn to like fish but it has definitely been one of my trickiest food foes. This dish however has changed all that!
