So even if you are a bit of a baking novice I bet I can guess the first thing you made as a child (probably even one of the only cakes you made as a child). Yes that’s right rice crispy cakes. These chocolate covered delights were the most simple yet completely delicious cakes to make and involved basically no baking what so ever. With Easter weekend this weekend I knew I had to share these equally easy and delicious refined sugar free version.
The last few weeks I’ve started sharing some of my Sunday Food Prep pictures with you and I’ve had some lovely comments and messages about them!! I’ve also had some questions about how I feed prep and some tips and tricks on how to prep your food to help you stay as healthy as possible. Which is why I wanted to use this month to share with you some of my favourite food prep tips and give you a copy of my weekly food planner!
Let’s talk about… Food Prep!
You remember how I said February flew by? Well March certainly made up for it!! This has felt like the longest month ever but completely jam packed! I feel like I haven’t had a minute (hence why my recipes have been a bit few and far between recently!) It is now nearly over though, and it addition to being able to assure you that there are more recipes on the way in April, it also means it’s time to update you all with all my favourites from this month! Here are my March Favourites!
You didn’t think I would let Mothers Day go by without a recipe to share with you did you? Of course I wouldn’t! If you really want to show your amazing mum how special she is then you should definitely whip up a batch of these deliciously raw salted caramel pecan brownies.
Any body who knows me will know my love for halloumi!! Although I try to limit my cheese intake it really is one of my favourite foods, and halloumi is up there as one of my favourites!! I thought it was therefore about time I shared with you a halloumi recipe. This is some seriously tasty Halloumi & Courgette Mini Frittatas.
Happy Hump Day!!
Happy Pi Day!! As a maths teacher and food blogger it’s practically mandatory for me to share a pie with you on Pi day! I have cheated slightly though and gone with a tart rather than a traditional pie. Trust me though this is one of the best tarts ever which means you will totally forgive me for having a tart steal the spotlight on Pi day.
Not only does this quote celebrate winners, empowerment and confidence but it’s also from one of my favourite Queen B songs! Defo one of the ultimate power women!
Happy Hump Day!!
I have a question for some of you? Have you ever tried eating vegan? When was the last time you even had a main meal which was totally vegan? I must admit, had you asked me this question a year ago I probably could not have told you. I literally eat meat or animal products with just about every meal, however now and again it is good to give your body and digestive system a bit of a break. Don’t get me wrong I am still a fairly firm carnivore most days, but now and again it’s good to have a day off (or even just a meal off!). So if you’re looking for a new meal to try on a meatless Monday (or looking for a good place to start) then this is a delicious recipe to try. This is my Paprika Three Bean Stew.
Happy Hump Day!!
